Jus found out after reading Mdm Aza's blog...

Hmm..lots of physics (other subjects too) concept we learn in Form 4 & 5 were wrong...It's so hard for us to unlearn what we hav learn in past 2 years and learn the "right" concept now..It will consider wrong again when we are in Uni in the future. Haha..

Teachers are liars? The answers should be yes and no. Haha.
But still gt to thank all WMS teachers that taught us for the past few years. Thank you.

Time flies.....and in only 5 days, we will forever kiss goodbye to our (fill in adjective of your choice) class of 5W,heck even the whole (fill in adjective of your choice) WMS. This, my friends is the end of the road for us in our high school life. Be it we like it or not, time waits for no men(and women) and we will never be able to all come together and sit as a class again as we go in our directions after SPM. Alas,there will be no more "refering" homework in the mornings, no more singing birthday songs like crazy, no more Tamathon, no more oats to eat.

But....before it all ends.....

This post is dedicated to Class 5W, Year 2009.

I wondered to myself just now: SPM is just a month away – and after that, we’re all free to pursue whatever we like. We’ll be going to different colleges, doing different courses, meet new friends and so much more to do. Perhaps most of you will be with your same cliques, so there won’t be much of a problem for you. However for (lonely) people like me, I will be going to a college along with 2 other students from our school whom, sadly, I’m not very close to. I’ll take it as a challenge.

The point of me writing this post is not about the future, but about the good ol’ times that we shared as classmates. I cannot be thankful enough to have such great classmates – each and every one of you, you and you. Be it David Ho who makes SO much of noise that I silently swear (and sometimes could be heard by Kenneth Kwan), or Chien Yee who left for Australia last year – as cliché as it may sound, and as cliché as it may be, you are all part of my senior high school year.

I entered the school in 2005, admitted into Class 1W. Year by year, a few of my classmates were transferred to other classes. And I was still sitting in those W chairs, wondering when will be my turn to join them? First left 3, then left 5 (or so), then the school shifted the ENTIRE class when we were entering Form 4. So I was the only W person that survived. I KNOW the history of W in and out. But W class wasn’t a very eventful class, I have to admit. However we must agree, the Tamathon was a bomb. Thanks to the brilliant Elizabeth who came up with the idea, and Tam who never took it by heart. Thinking back now, will we ever have another Tamathon, ever in the rest of our lives?

I had some ups and downs, some rough and sweet times (well, mostly rough) with our beloved prefects in the class. I might have given you faces when you told me to keep my voice level down, or asking me to STOP eating in class. Sweetie, the chipsmore was waiting to be eaten, how could I resist? *wink* But now, what’s the point of holding grudges or going against the four not-so-almighty-already ones?

There’s just fifteen more school days left. And after these fifteen days, what are the chances for us to sit down as an entire class, in school uniform, copying answers from each other and hoping that the teacher’s absent? Most probably not, you see. 15 days is short, really short. Even when I’m writing this, I’m having a feeling of nostalgia in my mind already. Sooner or later, I will be reminiscing about my schooldays, about how I took it for granted, or how I should have spent a little more time with my friends.

I can babble on and on, but I should stop here.

Thanks to my favourite monitor, Daniel 1 who greets the teacher on behalf of the class like: “THAANKkyuu madam, thaaaaaankkkuuuuuu madam”;

Valerie 2 for carrying out the real monitor works;

Tze Jia for sitting beside me on the first day of school in form 4 (and Choon Lian and Jon Ong just beside me next to my row)

Lisa for accompanying me whenever I feel alone =D

Yi Sheng and Catherine for passing on their knowledge to me

Sheue Li and Jenani for confiscating my chipsmore (just kidding xD - you girls are good prefects)

Jang Foong for eating whatever I brought to school

Yuan Hong for keeping the class so DARK and EMO - the way he likes it

J.Lo who keeps me motivated to study

Eli and Barty for entertaining me with real randomness

Corliss who brightens up my day

Jacky for making me laugh at your stupid mistakes during exam (mdm zabedah -> zubaidah)

He's currently undergoing a treatment. He has already gone through 8 weeks of treatment (18 weeks in total)..

Let's face it - English is a crazy language.
There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France . Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth, beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

PS. - Why doesn't 'Buick' rhyme with 'quick'

You lovers of the English language might enjoy this .
There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is 'UP.'

It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP ? At a meeting, why does a topic come UP ? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report ? We call UP our friends. And we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car .

At other times the little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses. To be dressed is one thing, but to be dressed UP is special. And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP . We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night. We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP !

To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP , look the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions. I f you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It wil l take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP , you may wind UP with a hundred or more. When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP..When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP .When it doesn't rain for awhile, things dry UP

I urgently needed a few days off work, but I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave.
I thought that maybe if I acted 'CRAZY' then he would tell me to take a few days off.
So I hung upside down on the ceiling and made funny noises.
My co-worker asked me what I was doing.
I told him that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss would think I was 'CRAZY' and give me a few days off.
A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked 'What are you doing?'
I told him I was a light bulb.
He said, 'You are clearly stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of days.'
I jumped down and walked out of the office.
When my co-worker followed me out, the Boss asked him 'And where do you think you're going?'
He said, 'I'm going home too, I can't work in the dark.'

He ordered one hamburger, one order of French fries and one drink. The old man unwrapped the plain

hamburger and carefully cut it in half.
He placed one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into

two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife. He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip

and then set the cup down between them. As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people

around them kept

looking over and whispering. You could tell they were thinking, "That poor old couple - all they can afford

The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her

begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said, "No, thank you,

we are used to sharing everything." As the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the

napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food

and asked "What is it you are waiting for?" She answered.... "The teeth"

Ok here goes

Once there wuz a woman who married a man
She was so hot n all bt for some reason she married a poor guy
So one day the poor guy comes home n gives a letter 2 his wife
The woman is like,"Wad is this?!!"
N the man explains tat its some invitation to some ball

Then the woman starts crying like nobody's business
Since it's nite time n the man doesn't want 2 wake up his neighbours
He asks his wife,"Hey woman wads ur prob"
The woman is like,"I don't have any dress so i can't go"
The man is like,"Ur so hot u don't need 2 wear a dress"

Bt the woman doesn't care n keeps crying
After the neighbour threatens 2 call the police
The man gives up n tells the wife,"Here u can have the money i wuz savin up 2 buy a pet dog"

Scenario: Jeffrey won't sit still in class, disrupts other students.

1960 - Jeffrey is sent to the principal's office and given a good paddling. Returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.

1960 - Vinh goes to Remedial English, passes and goes to college.

2009 - Vinh's cause is taken up by local human rights group. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that making English a requirement for graduation is racist. Civil Liberties Association files class action lawsuit against state school system and his English teacher. English is banned from core curriculum. Vinh is given his Y10 anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.

Scenario: Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers, puts them in a model plane paint bottle and blows up an anthill.

1960 - Ants die.

2009 - Security and ASIO are called and Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. Teams investigate parents, siblings are removed from the home, computers are confiscated, and Johnny's dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.

Scenario: Johnny falls during recess and scrapes his knee. His teacher, Mary, finds him crying, and gives him a hug to comfort him.

1960 - Johnny soon feels better and goes back to playing.

For all of you English speakers. Hear is something for laughs

or shall we say lafs.

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English" .

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Two men dressed in pilot's uniforms walk up the aisle of the

airplane. Both are wearing dark glasses‚ one is using a guide dog.

The other is tapping his way along the aisle with a cane.

Nervous laughter spreads through the cabin‚ but the men enter the

cockpit‚ the door closes‚ and the engines start up.

The passengers begin glancing around nervously‚ searching for some sign that this is just a little practical joke.

The plane moves faster and faster down the runway‚ and the people sitting in the window seats realize they're headed straight for the water at the edge of the airport territory.

As it begins to look as though the plane will plough into the water‚ panicked screams fill the cabin.

At that moment‚ the plane lifts smoothly into the air.

The passengers relax and laugh a little sheepishly‚ and soon all return to their magazines and conversation secure in the knowledge that the plane is in good hands.

Complaint Letter of the Year. The British do have a way with words.... A real-life customer complaint
letter sent to NTL (to their complaints dept....)

Dear Cretins,
I have been an NTL customer since 9th July 2001, when I signed up for
your 3-in-one deal for cable TV, cable modem, and telephone. During this
three-month period I have encountered inadequacy of service which I had
not previously considered possible, as well as ignorance and stupidity
of monolithic proportions. Please allow me to provide specific details,
so that you can either pursue your professional perogative, and seek to
rectify these difficulties - or more likely (I suspect) so that you can
have some entertaining reading material as you while away the working
day smoking B&H and drinking vendor-coffee on the bog in your office:
My initial installation was cancelled without warning, resulting in my
spending an entire Saturday sitting on my fat arse waiting for your
technician to arrive. When he did not arrive, I spent a further 57
minutes listening to your infuriating hold music, and the even more
annoying Scottish robot woman telling me to look at your helpful
website....HOW?
I alleviated the boredom by playing with my t..ticles for a few minutes
- an activity at which you are no-doubt both familiar and highly adept.
The rescheduled installation then took place some two weeks later,
although the technician did forget to bring a number of vital tools -
such as a drill-bit, and his cerebrum. Two weeks later, my cable modem
had still not arrived. After 15 telephone calls over 4 weeks my modem
arrived... six weeks after I had requested it, and begun to pay for it.
I estimate your internet server's downtime is roughly 35%... hours
between about 6pm -midnight, Mon-Fri, and most of the weekend. I am
still waiting for my telephone connection. I have made 9 calls on my
mobile to your no-help line, and have been unhelpfully transferred to a
variety of disinterested individuals, who are it seems also highly
skilled bollock jugglers.
I have been informed that a telephone line is available (and someone
will call me back); that no telephone line is available (and someone
will call me back); that I will be transferred to someone who knows
whether or not a telephone line is available (and then been cut off);
that I will be transferred to someone (and then been redirected to an
answer machine informing me that your office is closed); that I will be
transferred to someone and then been redirected to the irritating
Scottish robot woman...and several other variations on this theme.
Doubtless you are no longer reading this letter, as you have at least a
thousand other dissatisfied customers to ignore, and also another one of
those crucially important t..ticle-moments to attend to. Frankly I don't
care, it's far more satisfying as a customer to voice my frustration's
in print than to shout them at your unending hold music. Forgive me,
therefore, if I continue.
I thought BT were s.it, that they had attained the holy piss-pot of godawful
customer relations, that no-one, anywhere, ever, could be more
disinterested, less helpful or more obstructive to delivering service to
their customers. That's why I chose NTL, and because, well, there isn't
anyone else is there? How surprised I therefore was, when I discovered
to my considerable dissatisfaction and disappointment what a useless
shower of bastards you truly are. You are sputum-filled pieces of
distended rectum incompetents of the highest order.
British Telecom - w..nkers though they are - shine like brilliant beacons
of success, in the filthy puss-filled mire of your seemingly limitless
inadequacy. Suffice to say that I have now given up on my futile and
foolhardy quest to receive any kind of service from you. I suggest that
you cease any potential future attempts to extort payment from me for
the services which you have so pointedly and catastrophically failed to
deliver - any such activity will be greeted initially with hilarity and
disbelief quickly be replaced by derision, and even perhaps bemused
rage. I enclose two small deposits, selected with great care from my
cats litter tray, as an expression of my utter and complete contempt for
both you and your pointless company. I sincerely hope that they have not
become desiccated during transit - they were satisfyingly moist at the
time of posting, and I would feel considerable disappointment if you did
not experience both their rich aroma and delicate texture. Consider them
the very embodiment of my feelings towards NTL, and its worthless
employees.
Have a nice day - may it be the last in you miserable short life, you
irritatingly incompetent and infuriatingly unhelpful bunch of *****.
